MOLD CROWN COURTDescription : New entrance.Value : £ 615,000Procurement : TraditionalClient : Her Majesty’s Court ServicesThe works included a new main entrance to the building, it required the demolition of the existing entrance and curtain wall façade, including removal of existing louvre vents and asbestos. The new works formed a new curtain walling system and access through a glass box and metal canopy roof into the ground floor of the building. The works also included the security of anti – ram bollards to the front with new louvred vents redesigned to a more suitable capacity and also included for associated services and landscape works.We also remodelled the first floor waiting area to include a new oak kitchen and services, metal pan suspended ceiling and state of the art lighting and automatic ventilation. This in turn led to a variation to the contract where we were instructed to refurbish both courts 3 and 6 and associated works including new toilets and French polished timber panels within the courts. The works also included alterations to new courtrooms on the ground floor and making good through the link. The works also brought the building up to be fully compliant to DDA regulations.
